Foundation Repair Completed
We are proud to get such a glowing testimonial from another happy foundation repair customer in Pleasanton. Homes in the Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon area develop cracks in walls, stuck windows and doors, and cracks in slabs and foundation walls, and they may need floor leveling. The valley is actually an old lake bed, and unfortunately, hard rock is too deep to reach economically.
Drilled piers don’t work in this area because they need to reach hard rock. You would have to drill very deep to get to that hard rock, which must be down there somewhere. To repair foundation problems in this area, with the soft soil of an old lake bed, you need the special knowledge and skills Ward Construction brings you.
Stop the foundation settling, so you can be sure you won’t have to keep discovering new cracks in walls, or find floors are not level.
Foundation Repair Comes First
When you need foundation repair, you can’t improve the home in other ways. Work done prior to completing a foundation repair usually has to be done again after the foundation repair. This is because cracks in walls persist in growing as long as the foundation is settling. If the floor needs leveling, it is unwise to spend on remodeling, then level the floor. You have to wait to complete the foundation repair before you begin other renovations. It is no fun having to fix cracks in concrete and stucco again, because you did not first complete a foundation repair the first time.
Foundation Repair in Pleasanton
In addition to deep soft soil, be aware there is an earthquake fault called the Pleasanton fault. Wikipedia reports “The Pleasanton Fault is a seismically active geological structure in Alameda County and Contra Costa County, California. With the dangers of earthquakes in the Pleasanton area, you want to be well informed about your foundation and it’s integrity. We at Ward Construction are happy to inspect any suspicious looking foundation cracks, poor drainage, or retaining walls that may need attention. Foundation repair is usually not as big a deal as people fear, and it is always better to take care of foundation repair early.
